So, like ALL comic creators (or at least all the ones I know), I’m trawling the internet searching for whatever small references to fearless I can find. This is not helped by the fact that there was a fearless movie out a few years ago, so searching for fearless +review just turns up lots of useless links.
Things wot I have found: demenoid.com – which seems to be offline now, had a bittorrent seed for fearless. That’s bizarre. It’s the new world kids. There’s also an ebay auction, though I suspect that’s a comic shop that sell their comics via ebay.
Reviews
Good premise, good art, solid storytelling, all of that are found in Fearless #1
Firefox.org review of Fearless
This is smart, fast paced and gripping superheroics with a unique twist and a great central character. A hero despite himself, Adam Rygert deserves to be around for a long time to come.
His previous strengths are here in spades: a likeable style comparable to D’Israeli or the under-rated Anthony Williams; great character design (the Fear suit especially); a mastery of facial expressions up there with the likes of Steve Dillon; and deft storytelling.
I can’t find anything in this review that’s nice about the comic – aside from the reviewer liking the central conceit, so I’m going without a quote on this

I wasn’t planning on getting this, but the people who suggested I did seemed really enthusiastic about it, so at the shoppe, I took a look at it. Holden’s art is pretty damned nifty, so I figured it was worth a try.
I’m glad I did. This is a very good first issue, and it has at its core one of those ideas that are so brilliant it’s amazing no one’s ever done it before: a man who wants to be a hero but is crippled by fear.
UPDATE
pop syndicate
[...] it reads fresh, due in no small part to PJ Holden and Nick Filardi’s overheated, kinetic art; the sequences where Adam’s de-powering and re-powering of the fearlessness drug literally change his perspective on his enemies are particularly effective.
What does stand-out is the artwork of PJ Holden, which is likely to be a major factor in people’s decisions to pick up this book. Holden’s design for Fear is simple but unique, presenting a nice mix of utilitarian and seemingly alien style.
That’s all I can find so far, more to come, hopefully. Also: there’s a review in this months SFX, if I can get a copy I’ll post a snippet up.
[...] Dublin con was fun. I’ll write more later in the week, I’m sure, but for now I’ll go with fun. Also, in case I don’t write anything about the rest later, I’ll note that comrade PJ Holden’s first Image comic, FEARLESS, came out recently and you should have a nose at it if you’re passing a comic shop. He collects a load of reviews here. [...]
