If you’re a long time watcher of the blog, you’ll know I’ve had, from the very early days of my career – an awful habit of redrawing pages. Well, you’ll be happy to know that this, has, apparently, not changed. The only reason I don’t do it, is because I’m usually on a deadline. The Hulk Samples have a deadline, of sorts – the NY Comic con. But I’m going to simply pencil them. This page is pretty similair to the last – in fact, you can play spot the difference if you like. (Here’s a hint: it’s much more cartoony). Bolting the doors closed to me to Marvel and DC, no doubt (they do use super cartoony guys, sometimes, for some things, but those guys are REALLY fecking good). But, face facts, true believer, I’m a pretty damn good cartoonist when I let go and I’m a pretty average realistic comic book artist when I hang tight… I choose to be good… (The previous sample was a monsterous hybrid of my cartoony and realistic styles, falling between two stools really… just look at Banner’s expression on the redrawn one… so much better)

You kick ass at drawing asteroids though.
