BUY MY COMIC!
Hey! £1 Will buy a PDF copy of ‘Previously’ a collection of my small press comics, written by a variety of comic book writers! LINK>>>
I’m sorry, I’m not in any position to be able to offer any help with this – if the following doesn’t work, you’re on your own! (Though, I’ve had lots of emails from people saying it does work…)
All details taken from here (Steve Leibers Blog) works for me though (OSX 10.4.5)
Grab all files from here:
http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/
Install in the following order:
* libusb.pkg
* sane-backends.pkg
* twain-sane-interface.pkg
* sane-preference-pane.pkg
This installs the sane twain backend, now grab the mustek driver from here: http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/gt68xx-backend/
> Go into system preferences, click on the SANE icon
> Find the gt68xx line.
> Click the configure button.
>A terminal window will open.
>Scroll to find the part that says this:
>
>\#Autodetect Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB
>usb 0x055f 0×0210
>
>\# Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB doesn’t need any manual settings
>
>Delete the “#”‘s and click okay. You’ll probably have to enter your system password.
> Then Find the gt68xx line in your SANE window again and click the firmware button. This will open up another terminal window. Drag that “a32fw.usb ” file off your desktop into the terminal window, and save it.
> Shut down.
> Plug your mustek’s USB cord into your computer.
> Turn it on.
> Go into photoshop.
> Open IMPORT from the FILE menu and hit SANE.

And, finally, to quote Steve in his post on the subject:
> I should note that I’m not able to offer you tech support. I can barely solve my own problems, much less yours. If what I’ve written here doesn’t work for you, I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.
I see Steve’s blog has moved and the page is no longer available, oh well.
