tproject Doppler pencils for part 2 all done. Took a bit longer than I’d planned. Page 2 was a bit of a monster and sometimes that’s what happens. One page can suddenly just stop you in your tracks. What it can also do is convince you that you’re not good at the job and that you’ll never be able to draw again. Happily I didn’t give time to the monster to let that idea take hold. I pencilled it with big fat markers and brush pen which stops me getting lost in the details but also prevented me from trying to get too precious with the art. Leaving me with a big chunky thing that I can print in blue line and either ink (currently inking with uni balls) or pencil and then ink. Uni balls (or pigma fineliners) are great because they just let you draw like you’re writing. It just comes out. Though sometimes you’ll want something more refined these are built for speed.
the plan today was to start inking this strip but actually I think I’ll head in to Terran omega territory for inking and try and get as much of that out of the way before inking the 2000ad thing next week.
my plans rarely make it through one day though so we’ll see.
